01.23.2020 • Earlier this month, I had the honor of leading the digital storytelling workshop at These Are The Breaks; PATH’s fully immersive week-long visual, performing and digital arts learning experience for Miami’s talented young creatives. This year’s theme was Food + Water + Shelter, which allowed participants to creatively identify the opportunities and challenges present in their communities via a series of lectures, workshops and field trips throughout Miami. The 2019/2020 mentor line up featured:

• Music Production/Recording with Andrews “NONMS” Mujica and Anthony “Tonik” Reyes
• Rap/Songwriting/Recording with MECCA aka GRIMO and Yoli Mayor
• Bboy/Bgirl/Hip Hop Dance with Andrews “NONMS” Mujica and Alfredo “Bboy Lego” Sotelo
• Urban Art with MECS
• Digital Storytelling with George R. Mercado

PATH is a Miami-based 501 (3)c nonprofit organization dedicated to challenging the negative stereotypes and destructive behaviors often associated with Hip Hop culture by helping the youth build skills that are useful in school, the streets and the future.
